Domain Name<\/strong>
CKP.in domain was first registered by Dr. Ashutosh Pradhan on 5th July 2007 for his father Chandrashekhar Khanderao Pradhan (CKP). However, his father suggested that it should be used for community rather than for him as an individual. As per his wish CKP.in was dedicated to the community and was never used for him as an individual. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Web Site Use<\/strong>
Later on Dr. Ashutosh Pradhan thought that instead of him developing it alone, a local community trust – CKP Mandal, Vile Parle can jointly be associated with the activity and he donated the use of the domain to CKP Mandal, Vile Parle. A web site was functional till the onset of CoVid-19 pandemic. However, post CoVid-19 pandemic the situation had a drastic change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Post CoVid-19 Scenario<\/strong>
Dr. Ashutosh Pradhan being a practicing homoeopath noticed that many of the community youngsters lost their jobs and started some or the other business. While working a one of the Admins of the Facebook Group – CKP Young World<\/a> he noticed that there are many posts which are shared where items, fish, food items are sold by fellow members. He realized a great up surge in such posts. This was brought to the notice of founder member of CKP Young World group – Ulhas Pradhan. It was then mutually decided that post moderation will be switched on and all hard selling posts will be denied. However, considering the need of the hour another Facebook group CKP Market Place<\/a> was commissioned just to address the sell of such products. There was huge response to the new group. However, Dr. Ashutosh Pradhan noticed that there is no universal shopping cart. Additional activity which was started on Facebook was CKP Business Owner’s & Professional’s Directory<\/a> which was linked to a Google Excel Sheet to create a directory. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Limitations<\/strong>
Both the Facebook marketplace and directory had limitations. From market place a cart could not be created and for directory listing all items are just a textual listing. Earlier website was on a CMS that had limitations to add multiple plugins. Another hurdle was it a portal has multiple vendor registration then the organization needs to have GST registered. Though CKP Mandal, Vile Parle is a GST registered organization, adding an e-commerce activity to its registration being a trust would pose issues. Considering these limitations Dr. Ashutosh Pradhan decided to revamped the web site www.ckp.in <\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Concept<\/strong>
Dr. Ashutosh Pradhan conceptualized the new website where in multiple vendor registration is possible for their products to be added and a cart can be created. The business directory can be visually appealing with latest gadgets. In order to overcome e-commerce issues of GST he decided to regain the portal use back to Scientica Life Sciences Private Limited (from earlier granted to CKP Mandal, Vile Parle) so that if any issue arises it can be easily resolved. Yet the website will be run for no profit no loss basis with bare minimal or no charges to use for the CKP Community. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
